A Direct Route from Small-Town Rajasthan to the High Himalayas

Most Himalayan packages assume you'll first make your own way to Delhi or Chandigarh. This one starts at Sikar railway station itself. The train reaches Delhi in good time, the Volvo departs the same evening, and the single overnight road journey delivers the group to Manali by morning.

For travellers from Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Fatehpur and Laxmangarh, that means the entire Shekhawati belt gets a genuine doorstep-to-mountains connection, something rare for towns of this size.

Manali's Classic Circuit: Hadimba, Van Vihar and the Monastery

The first day in the hills begins with check-in, breakfast and a relaxed start. Sightseeing opens at Hadimba Temple, the ancient pagoda-style wooden shrine wrapped in cedar forest, then moves to Van Vihar, the riverside park where the Beas flows just beyond the trees.

The Tibetan Monastery follows, its prayer wheels and bright murals offering a calm counterpoint to the busy town outside. As the sun drops, the group heads to Manali Mall Road for shopping, hot momos and the evening buzz, then returns to the hotel for dinner and the night.

Thrills and Warm Water: Solang Valley to Vashisht

Day three is built for adrenaline. Solang Valley runs paragliding, ropeway rides and zorbing in the green months and becomes a full snow arena in winter. The drive pushes on through the Atal Tunnel when accessible, and Rohtang Pass is available as a paid optional add-on, dependent on weather and permits.

The route back includes Vashisht Temple, where sulphur-rich hot springs have bubbled up for centuries. A soak in the naturally heated water, believed locally to benefit skin and hair, rounds off the day before dinner and the second night in Manali.

Parvati Valley Farewell: Kullu, Kasol and Manikaran

After breakfast and checkout, the group follows the Beas to the Kullu rafting point and nearby Vaishno Temple, then turns into the Parvati Valley. Kasol Market appears riverside, earning its mini-Israel of India tag with cafes, backpacker stalls and mountain views in every direction.

The journey's final stop is Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara, where scalding springs rise beside the freezing river and the group shares a warm langar dinner before the overnight departure to Delhi and the morning train home to Sikar.

Sikar to Manali Distance: What the Numbers Say

The Sikar to Manali distance is roughly 850 km via Delhi, with no direct rail or road service linking the two. Independently, the trip demands a train ticket, a Volvo seat, hotel bookings and daily sightseeing taxis, all coordinated across three states.

The group format collapses that into one reservation with same-day connections, which is exactly how the full Manali-Kasol circuit fits into 5 days from a town the size of Sikar.

What to Pack for This Trip

Woollens and a heavy jacket for winter departures, since Manali nights fall below zero
Light layers for summer, when days are mild but mornings stay crisp
Comfortable walking shoes for Mall Road, temple visits and the Kasol market lanes
A towel and change of clothes if you plan to dip in the Vashisht hot springs
Sunglasses and sunscreen, because mountain sun reflecting off snow is stronger than it feels
A small daypack for the Solang Valley day and the langar visit at Manikaran

Manali Weather, Temperature and Snowfall for Shekhawati Travellers

The climate swing is dramatic. While Sikar summers push well past 40°C, the Manali temperature holds between roughly 10°C and 25°C from March to June, making Manali weather feel like a different country altogether. Manali snowfall sets in from December to February, blanketing Solang Valley and the upper ridges for travellers chasing their first snow experience.

Atal Tunnel and Rohtang Pass access remains subject to daily weather and road conditions.

When Should You Go?

Summer is the classic escape from the Rajasthan heat, autumn brings clear skies and thinner crowds, and winter delivers snow. With Kasol and Manikaran open through most of the year, this manali tour package from Sikar has no real off-season, only different versions of the mountains.
