Begin the Journey from Bhopal
The holiday starts in Bhopal with an overnight train journey towards Delhi. After reaching Delhi, the group departs in the evening by AC Volvo/vehicle towards Manali, travelling overnight through the Himalayan foothills. As the vehicle climbs into the hills, the air conditioning gives way to naturally cool mountain air.
For travellers starting from Bhopal, the journey itself brings a complete change of scenery, moving from the plains of Madhya Pradesh to the snow-capped peaks, deodar forests and river valleys of Himachal Pradesh.
Manali Local Sightseeing with Temples, Monastery and Mall Road
After reaching Manali and checking in to the hotel, the group freshens up, has breakfast and heads out for local sightseeing. The day covers Hadimba Temple, the famous wooden pagoda-style temple surrounded by cedar forest, followed by Van Vihar, the riverside nature park along the Beas.
The itinerary then moves to the Tibetan Monastery, known for its prayer wheels and Buddhist art, before ending with a relaxed evening at Manali Mall Road, the hub for shopping, cafes and local street food. The day closes with dinner and an overnight stay in Manali.
Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Vashisht Hot Springs
The next morning after breakfast, the group proceeds to Solang Valley, Manali's adventure capital, known for paragliding, zorbing, ropeway rides and snow activities in winter. The route continues through the Atal Tunnel, subject to accessibility, which connects Manali to the Lahaul Valley. Rohtang Pass can be visited separately at an additional cost when permits and weather allow.
The day also includes Vashisht Temple and its natural hot springs. The springs are fed by natural sulphuric water, which is traditionally considered beneficial for skin and hair, making it a refreshing stop after a day in the mountains.
Kullu and Kasol with Rafting Point, Markets and Manikaran
After breakfast and checkout from Manali, the group travels along the Beas towards Kullu, stopping at the Kullu rafting point and Vaishno Temple. The route then turns into the Parvati Valley towards Kasol.
Kasol Market, often called the mini-Israel of India, offers riverside cafes, woollens, souvenirs and a laid-back Himalayan vibe. The final stop is Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara, famous for its holy hot springs, where the group has dinner at the langar before departing overnight towards Delhi.
Manali Tour Package From Bhopal: Distance and Route
Travellers searching for a Manali tour package from Bhopal often ask about the Bhopal to Manali distance, which is roughly 1,200 km via Delhi. Covering this distance independently requires managing train tickets, Volvo bookings and hotel stays separately.
A planned group itinerary handles the entire rail and road route in one booking, using overnight journeys so that travel time does not eat into sightseeing days. Manali, Solang Valley, Kullu and Kasol are connected within a single route, making it easy to cover the major Himachal destinations in 6 days.

From Delhi, travelers typically board an overnight luxury Volvo AC bus to complete the remaining 530 km journey to Manali.
The standard package price starts from approximately ₹6,999 to ₹9,500 per person on a quadruple or triple sharing basis for a group tour. The final price varies based on the choice of accommodation, inclusions, travel dates, and whether you opt for standard Volvo transfers from Delhi or custom vehicle upgrades directly from Bhopal.
The cheapest way is to travel via a budget sleeper class train from Bhopal to Delhi, followed by a semi-sleeper or standard Volvo bus from Delhi to Bhuntar, which is the gateway to the Parvati Valley. From Bhuntar, local buses or shared cabs frequently ply to Kasol at minimal rates, keeping the total one-way transit cost under ₹1,500 to ₹2,000 per person.
Yes, a 5-day itinerary allows enough time for the core trip experience if your transit is well-planned. A typical itinerary splits the stay, giving you 2 nights in Manali to explore places like Solang Valley and Mall Road, and 1 night in Kasol to experience the riverside cafes and Manikaran Sahib, while the remaining time accounts for the overnight transit from and to Delhi.
The total driving time by road is approximately 22 to 24 hours, covering a distance of roughly 1,300 km via the NH 44 route. Because of the long duration and winding mountain roads in Himachal Pradesh, travelers usually break the journey by stopping in Delhi or Chandigarh rather than driving continuously from Bhopal.
Kinghills Travels operates luxury AC Volvo bus transfers primarily from Delhi to Manali as part of their fixed-departure packages. For travelers coming from Bhopal, the agency coordinates your arrival in Delhi, where the dedicated Kinghills team handles the boarding process for the overnight Volvo journey straight to the mountains.
For a comfortable budget-to-mid-range group trip, a person requires around ₹8,000 to ₹12,000. This estimate covers the core Kinghills Travels tour package (accommodation, meals, Volvo transfers, sightseeing) along with extra personal spending money for adventure activities like paragliding, shopping at the Mall Road, and meals not covered in the itinerary.
No, no direct commercial flights are operating between Bhopal (BHO) and Kullu-Manali Airport (UUU) at Bhuntar. To travel by air, you must book a flight from Bhopal to Delhi or Chandigarh, and then take a connecting regional flight to Bhuntar, or transition to a road journey via cab or Volvo bus from Chandigarh or Delhi.
The absolute best months are March to June for pleasant summer weather away from the central Indian heat, and October to November for crisp autumn views. If you are specifically looking to experience heavy snowfall and sub-zero temperatures, traveling between late December and February is recommended.
