From the Malwa Plateau to the Mountains

The journey begins at Indore railway station with an overnight train to Delhi. The next evening, the group boards an AC Volvo/vehicle for the second overnight leg towards Manali. Both long-distance stretches happen while you sleep, which is what makes a trip of this distance possible in just 6 days.

Somewhere past the foothills, the flat Malwa landscape you left behind is replaced by pine slopes, river gorges and snow-lined peaks. By morning, you are in Manali.

Day One in Manali: Hadimba, Van Vihar and Mall Road

After hotel check-in and breakfast, the sightseeing starts with Hadimba Temple, a 16th-century wooden temple standing inside a grove of towering deodars. Van Vihar comes next, a quiet walking park on the banks of the Beas river, followed by the Tibetan Monastery, where prayer flags, murals and handicraft stalls give a glimpse of Manali's Buddhist community.

The evening belongs to Manali Mall Road. Woollens, souvenirs, momos and coffee shops line the stretch, and the group returns to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Adventure Day: Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Vashisht

Day two in Manali is built around adventure. Solang Valley offers paragliding, ropeway rides and zorbing in summer, and turns into a snow field for skiing and snow play in winter. The route continues towards the Atal Tunnel, subject to accessibility, and Rohtang Pass can be visited at extra cost when permits and weather allow.

On the way back, the group stops at Vashisht Temple, where natural sulphuric hot springs flow through traditional bathing tanks. The mineral-rich water is locally believed to benefit skin and hair, a welcome soak after a cold day in the valley.

The Parvati Valley Finale: Kullu, Kasol and Manikaran

The last sightseeing day starts with checkout and a drive along the Beas to the Kullu rafting point, where white-water rafting is available, and Vaishno Temple nearby. The road then bends into the Parvati Valley towards Kasol.

Kasol Market has earned its nickname as the mini-Israel of India, with riverside cafes, backpacker stalls and mountain views on every side. The trip's final stop is Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara, where hot springs bubble beside the icy Parvati river and the group shares dinner at the langar before the overnight return to Delhi and the train home to Indore.

Indore to Manali Distance and Why a Group Tour Makes Sense

The Indore to Manali distance is close to 1,300 km, which is too far for a comfortable road trip and has no direct train or flight connection. Booking the Indore-Delhi train, Delhi-Manali Volvo, hotel and local sightseeing separately means juggling five or six different reservations.

A fixed-departure group tour solves this. One booking covers the full chain, the overnight timings protect your sightseeing days, and travelling with a group from your own city keeps the atmosphere familiar and the per-person cost low.

Manali Weather, Temperature and Snowfall by Season

Manali weather rewards every season differently. The Manali temperature stays between roughly 10°C and 25°C from March to June, the peak window for sightseeing and Solang Valley activities. October and November bring crisp air and clear mountain views. From December to February, Manali snowfall transforms Solang Valley and the upper slopes into a white landscape, though sub-zero nights call for heavy woollens.

Access to the Atal Tunnel and Rohtang Pass depends on weather and road conditions on the day of the visit.

Best Time to Book This Manali Trip from Indore

Summer departures suit families and first-timers who want pleasant weather and open roads. Winter departures suit groups chasing snow. Kasol and Manikaran stay reachable through most of the year, so this manali tour package works as a year-round option from Indore.

Frequently Asked Questions about Manali Kasol Tour Package From Indore

There is no direct train running from Indore to Manali. The standard rail route is to book a train from Indore Junction (INDB) to New Delhi (NDLS) or Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM), such as the Malwa Express or Intercity Express, with sleeper tickets starting around ₹450 and AC 3-Tier around ₹1,200. From Delhi, travelers seamlessly connect to an overnight luxury Volvo bus to finish the trip to Manali.

A minimum of 6 to 7 days is ideal when traveling from Indore. Since central India requires extra transit time to reach the northern hills, this timeline dedicates 2 days for your round-trip journey between Indore and Delhi, leaving a solid 4 to 5 days to comfortably explore Manali, Solang Valley, the Manikaran hot springs, and the cafes of Kasol without feeling rushed.

Kinghills Travels receives highly positive reviews from Indore travelers, particularly praised for their seamless Delhi transit coordination, well-curated young group environments, and clean hotel partnerships. Guests frequently highlight the reliability of their night Volvo transfers and the helpfulness of the on-ground tour coordinators in the mountains.

The safest and most organized route is to take a flight or train from Indore to Delhi or Chandigarh, and then board a luxury night Volvo bus heading toward Manali. You will deboard at Bhuntar, the entry point to Parvati Valley, where Kinghills Travels arranges pre-booked local cabs or reliable shared transfers to take you directly into Kasol along the winding valley roads.

The complete overland route follows the Indore-Bhopal road to connect onto the NH 44 corridor via Lalitpur, Jhansi, Gwalior, and Agra into New Delhi. From Delhi, the route continues north through Ambala, Chandigarh, Kiratpur Sahib, and Mandi along the newly updated highway stretches, eventually splitting at Bhuntar toward either Kasol or Manali.

For a couple traveling from Indore, a standard package ranges between ₹16,000 and ₹22,000 total, depending on the choice of transit. This budget covers standard round-trip Volvo transfers from Delhi, upgraded double-sharing private hotel rooms, breakfast and dinner plans, and local mountain sightseeing cabs, excluding your primary travel tickets between Indore and Delhi.

While Kinghills Travels coordinates central operations digitally and via their major regional hubs, they do not require you to visit a physical office in Indore. Travelers can easily view itineraries, chat with a dedicated trip planner, customize their package inclusions, and receive verified booking vouchers entirely online through their official portal or WhatsApp channels.

To experience proper winter snowfall and escape the mild central Indian winter, Indore tourists should book their trips between late December and mid-February. During these months, temperatures drop significantly, bringing heavy snow blankets to Solang Valley, Old Manali, and the surrounding high-altitude passes.

Direct commercial flights from Indore (IDR) to Kullu-Manali Airport (UUU) at Bhuntar are not available. Travelers looking to fly should book a flight from Indore to New Delhi or Chandigarh Airport, and then complete the remaining scenic mountainous leg via a luxury Volvo coach or a private highway cab.

The most economical option starts around ₹6,999 per person (excluding the Indore-to-Delhi travel). By choosing a budget sleeper train from Indore to Delhi and joining a fixed-departure Kinghills Travels group tour with triple or quadruple sharing accommodations, college students and budget backpackers get the absolute lowest price possible.
